The studio is on your side of town
If you live in Southwest Atlanta, you do not have to cross the city to learn a real skill. DJ Batman teaches at the Unique Institute of Music studio on the west side, close to the I-20 and Fulton Industrial Boulevard corridor.
Classes are built around where you are today, not how old you are. A twelve-year-old can be in the advanced track and an adult can start at the very beginning. The first step is a short call to place you in the right level.
From the first session you are on real gear: controllers, turntables, a mixer and monitors are set up and waiting.

Three tracks and two ways to learn. Level and format are separate choices.
Beginner: DJ Foundations
No experience needed. Gear basics, Serato DJ Pro and Rekordbox, beat matching by ear, EQ and your first real mix.
Intermediate: Mix Master
Advanced blends, effects, loops, reading a crowd and building a set with a real arc.
Advanced: Pro Level & Scratch
Scratch technique, timecode vinyl, custom routines, beat juggling and showcase preparation.
Private sessions
One-on-one time with DJ Batman, tailored to your goals, with flexible days and times.
Small group classes
Up to four students at the same skill level, learning alongside each other.

Real equipment

Can kids take classes?
Yes. Students ages 7 and up are welcome, and class level is based on skill, not age.
Do I need my own equipment?
No. All equipment is provided, and you can also bring your own.
How do I know which level to start with?
Brand new to DJing means Foundations. If you can beat match and blend, try Intermediate. Working DJs adding scratching can look at Pro Level. A quick call will confirm it.
